Programme Specialist ( Village institution)

Location: Sayla, Gujarat

Education: Bachelors/ masters in social work or Development Studies

Experience: 2-3 years

Skills & Competencies required
  • In-depth Understanding of Functioning of CBOs (SHG, Cluster, Federation, KVS & FPO)

  • In-depth understanding of monitoring, evaluations, and reporting functions especially in the context of CBO

  • Good training and Facilitation Skills

  • Good Liaison Skill

  • Community Centric & Team handling

  • Experience in Agriculture, Marketing, FPO and Capacity Building

  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English & Hindi

Job Profile
  • The mobilization and empowerment of women and increase incomes through developing the small ruminant value chain.

  •  Managing the Village institution and livestock development project of the area and carefully understand the programmes and different project, area of the programme its issues and challenges

  • Understand the team with whom to coordinate for the implementation in the field.

  • Training of the team on various fronts of Improved Animal Health Management and Women Empowerment.

  •  Support in Community mobilization activities at village level.

  •  Ability to manage the team of community level volunteers, CRP and Pashu Sakhis.

  • Capacity Building of SHG groups, Women’s federation, FPOs, community, volunteers, and other institutions.

  • Ensuring timely collection of Programme data.

  • Ensuring maintenance of MIS and preparing the MIS parameters.

  • Timely report to funding agency/donor.

  • Preparation of quarterly/half yearly/annual reports for organizational purpose

  • Ensuring maintenance of all documentation related to the programme.

  • To support strengthening process documentation and monitoring systems.

  • Review and monitoring of Programme, finance, and administration.

  • Identification and documentation of best practices and sharing of our best practices /efforts to the concern Govt. department

  • Networking and liaison with academic, technical and government departments related to livestock development.

  • Efforts for conversion the government schemes in programme

  • Ensure timely supply of material at field level.

  • Ensure timely settlement of all bill vouchers
